Sheetmetal Design

A key element from the design brief was the necessity for the machine to be flat packed, giving the option for customers to have the unit table mounted or free standing.

The modular design requirement was met by engineering flat pack sheetmetal panels around a steel box section chassis.

Production Engineering

HJC’s engineers refined the design to ensure there were no visible fixings, joins, rivets, screws or seams that would inhibit the operator when in use.

A large, single piece polycarbonate door was introduced to give the user an unbroken view of the machinery whilst in operation.

Manufacture in Yorkshire

The design was engineered using Solidworks 3D software, which enabled a detailed suite of 2D technical drawings to be produced for the Yorkshire based fabricator to manufacture from.
